about the project
This is a typical deep drawn part that we produced for an American company. Before a deep-drawn part can be manufactured, careful planning and design is required, including determining the material, thickness, shape and size, and developing a suitable mold design for the part.
For this project, we needed to fabricate a separate die to cut four holes into the SGCC raw material to relieve internal pressure during the stretching process.
The perforated metal material was then placed in a deep drawing mold and stretched to the desired shape under external pressure. Finally, the product has been chrome plated to improve its corrosion resistance and aesthetic appearance.
