Manufacturing for you

Our company uses a variety of presses ranging in capacity from 30 to 400 tons to produce a wide range of custom metal stamping parts. The metallurgical expertise we bring to the design of springs and fasteners extends to forgings, allowing our engineers to create parts from materials ranging from mild steel to pre-hardened alloys in thicknesses ranging from .004″ to .312″ depending on part configuration and tonnage requirements.

What is metal stamping

Metal stamping is a manufacturing process in which rolls or flat sheets of material are formed into specific shapes. In the blanking process, rolls or sheets are fed to a stamping press, which uses tools and dies to form features and surfaces in the metal. Metal stamping is an excellent way to mass produce a variety of complex parts, from car door panels and gears to small electrical components used in phones and computers.

How to work with Redexpart?

1. Upload project design

To get started, you just need to select a technological process and upload project files.

2. Conduct a design analysis

Within a few hours, your design will be analyzed for manufacturability.

3. Confirm proposals and production

After confirmation of the estimate, we begin manufacturing your parts. Various finishes available.

4. Shipment and delivery

Our advanced manufacturing capabilities enable us to produce parts within one day.

Stamping and forming success stories

Metal stamping type

Progressive stamping uses multiple molds and steps to create deeper parts than is typically possible with single molds.

1

Deep drawing

Deep drawing stamping allows you to create dies with deep cavities, such as closed rectangles.

2

Blank

When preparing a sheet, parts are cut out. Thin stock, a type of blank, produces precise cuts with smooth edges and a flat surface.

3

Coinage

another type of blank, which produces small round blanks. It hardens the metal and removes burrs and rough edges.

4

Stamping

Stamping is the opposite of blanking; it involves removing material from a workpiece rather than removing material to create a workpiece.

5

Embossing

Embossing creates a three-dimensional design in the metal, either raised above the surface or through a series of indentations.

6

Bend

Bending occurs along one axis and is often used to create U, V or L-shaped profiles.

Metal stamping production volumes

Redexpart offers a wide range of production capacities for sheet metal stamping, including:

1

Small-scale production

Most stamping projects are at least 1000 units to ensure cost effectiveness for the client. Customers use small metal stamping jobs to bridge the gap between prototyping and production, and to get a sense of how well a product will perform in the marketplace.

2

Medium-scale production

Average production volumes range from 100 000 to 1 million units. This volume of metal stamping production provides flexibility for low-volume orders and a lower price per part. This also reduces initial tooling costs.

3

Large-scale production

High-volume production includes orders for more than 1 million parts. While metal stamping is highly scalable, it is an incredibly cost-effective manufacturing process at high volumes as it reduces the unit cost associated with the cost of creating custom tooling.
